Summary

This position reports to the Associate Director of Quality or other management designated by the President. It is based in Irvine, CA, with a hybrid schedule involving work at the site and from home. The role may require up to 80% travel.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

1. Ensure project quality requirements are met across civil, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
2. Champion the Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
3. Review project technical requirements, including contracts, codes, standards, and specifications.
4. Oversee all project inspections, including planning, auditing, scheduling, and training.
5. Review and approve contractor quality programs and inspection/test plans.
6. Collaborate on developing and implementing the site quality plan (SQP).
7. Manage on-site quality activities and supervise quality inspectors.
8. Maintain documentation for project turnover and record retention.
9. Monitor inspections and testing activities, report metrics, and support continuous improvement.
10. Perform inspections, tests, and field audits as needed.
11. Support and enforce the “Responsibility to Act” policy for safety and compliance.
12. Coordinate inspections and walkdowns with the owner.
13. Manage nonconformances and ensure timely resolution.
14. Support the use and development of Work Instructions.
15. Review commissioning and energization plans.
16. Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts.
17. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Quality Management, supervising inspectors or technicians.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in remote project locations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and work efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Travel up to 75% as needed.

• Primarily stationary, sitting up to 8 hours.
• Infrequent movement, bending, and carrying light weights.
• Frequent communication and visual tasks.
• Occasional climbing and travel.

Work Environment

• Office setting with low to moderate noise; construction sites may have higher noise levels.

Salary and Additional Information
