Job summary

Georg Fischer in Irwindale, CA seeks a Senior Site Quality Leader to head QA, QC, supplier quality, customer quality, NPI/NPD quality and compliance. You will act as the primary contact for all quality matters, drive performance improvements, lead CAPA, reduce complaints and nonconformances, and ensure audits and reviews sustain ISO 9001/14001 and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Lead all site quality functions including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, SupplierQuality, Customer Quality, NPI/NPD Quality and Compliance activities, serving as theprimary point of contact for all quality matters at the site. Drive quality performance improvements by analyzing key metrics, leading root causeinvestigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and reducingcustomer complaints, nonconformances, scrap, and cost of poor quality. Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9/14/45001, environmental requirements,customer specifications, corporate standards, and applicable regulatory requirementsthrough audits, management reviews, and quality system effectiveness. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Product Management, SupplyChain, and Customer Service to improve processes, support new product introductions,qualify suppliers, and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively. Develop and lead the quality team through coaching, training, performancemanagement, and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture ofaccountability, operational excellence, and customer focus. Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Working knowledge of GD&T standards Excellent computer skills and data analysis/data mining capability. Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9/14/45001) and manufacturingquality principles. Expertise in Root Cause Analysis methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone, andCAPA. Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), process validation, risk management,and quality metrics. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the abilityto influence across all levels of the organization. Strong problem-solving and project management capabilities with a data-drivenapproach to decision-making. Proficiency in quality tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to lead customer audits, supplier audits, and regulatory inspectionsEducation and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technicaldiscipline. Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive quality leadership experience within amanufacturing environment. Proven experience managing customer complaints, supplier quality programs, correctiveactions, and quality audits. Demonstrated success leading quality improvement initiatives that deliver measurablebusiness results. Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments (UL, NSF, LR) andsupporting cross-functional operational excellence initiatives. ASQ certifications (CQE, CMQ/OE, CQA, 6-sigma black belt) preferred. Experience with sensors, instrumentation, valves, flow measurement devices, orindustrial manufacturing industries is highly desirable.Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use handsto finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumesor airborne particles.
