Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Intergalactic Site Quality Leader to direct the site quality organization, drive SQDC performance, and partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain to improve the quality management system and customer satisfaction.

You will lead a team of quality engineers, own the site’s quality strategy, and champion continuous improvement across the facility, while ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years in quality/ops/engineering.
• Significant experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering leadership.
• Experience supervising individual contributors and leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action, and quality management systems.
• Strong cross-functional leadership in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of quality engineers and set priorities.
• Own site-level quality strategy, KPIs, and operating rhythms.
• Drive compliance to quality systems, standards, and customer specs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and engineering to reduce defects.
• Lead corrective actions for internal, customer, and supplier quality issues.
• Champion continuous improvement and standardization of quality practices.
• Manage nonconforming material, containment actions, and escalation processes.
• Support audits and site responses to findings.
• Monitor scrap, rework, escapes, and cost of poor quality.
• Provide input for new product introductions and risk assessments.
