Job summary

BMWC Constructors is seeking a Site Quality Inspector to join the Quality Team on large-scale industrial construction projects in the United States. This role focuses on inspecting site welds, ensuring code compliance, and generating necessary turnover documentation for project handovers.

You will collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and operations leaders to verify weld maps, logs, and hydro-test packages are complete while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years professional experience with piping inspection.
• Turnover package creation experience.
• Experience with heat maps, weld maps, or hydro packages.
• Certified Welding Inspector with AWS or similar.
• Knowledge of ASME codes and applications.
• Experience administering weld tests and welds documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and able to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all site welds and ensure compliance with governing guidelines.
• Stop and report all unsafe conditions and acts.
• Understand applicable governing construction codes.
• Understand inspection and test plan requirements for the scope.
• Ensure welders are qualified for the welding performed.
• Inspect welds, assign numbers for the weld map, create weld logs.
• Perform hydro-test and turnover package maintenance.
• Use punch lists to identify incomplete items and escalate to supervision.
• Compile all relevant documents for the turnover package.

BMWC is an industrial construction company seeking a Site Quality Inspector to join the Quality Team. This crucial position allows you to contribute to the delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects.

You will be part of a top-performing project team and report to an expert in the industry. This position regularly interacts with project managers, project engineers, site supervisors, and company operations leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Site Quality Inspector, you will:

• Be responsible for inspecting all site welds and ensuring compliance with governing guidelines.
• Stop and report all unsafe conditions and acts.
• Understand the governing construction codes.
• Understand the inspection and test plan requirements applicable to the work scope.
• Ensure welders are qualified for the welding being performed.
• Inspect the welds, assigns numbers for the weld map, create weld logs.
• Perform all aspects of Hydro-test and Turnover Package maintenance.
• Utilize punch lists to identify incomplete items and present to supervision.
• Compile all appropriate documents in the turnover package.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 years professional experience with piping inspection
• Turnover package creation
• Experience with at least one of the following: Heat Maps, Weld Maps, Hydro Packages
• Certified Welding Inspector with AWS or similar
• Knowledge of ASME codes and applications
• Has administered weld tests, as required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel, WORD, Outlook, and technical aptitude to learn new systems
