Job summary

MPI seeks a Project Manager - EPC - Industrial Construction to lead large-scale industrial projects within energy and construction. The role focuses on delivering on time, on budget, and to high quality standards, with ownership across the full lifecycle.

The successful candidate will drive project scope, cost control, and client satisfaction, coordinating with engineering teams and contractors while advancing opportunities within existing accounts. Travel to project sites nationwide is involved.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of business projects from inception through execution
  • Develop and document the scope of work
  • Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
  • Develop and track project costs
  • Identify and communicate changes to SOW
  • Identify and effectively respond to clients issues and needs
  • Ensure value is provided to the client and earn their trust
  • Ensure the clients policies and procedures are communicated and followed and project team
  • Review and manage all project deliverables
  • Secure resources needed for team to execute work effectively
  • Ensure PO's are received from the client before work begins and ensure services are rendered within the approved budget; also ensure invoices are paid timely
  • Anticipate future work associated or derived from ongoing projects

Job description

The Project Manager - EPC - Industrial Construction will lead and oversee large-scale industrial construction projects within the energy and construction sector. This role focuses on ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Description

The successful candidate will build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally, have strong project and business skills, be well spoken and personable, and be a strong advocate for and leader of the engineering team. Previous project work at pulp mills is required.

Profile

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Project Management experience on engineering projects through installation and start-up/commissioning
  • Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
  • Experience in managing contractors, sequencing workflow, developing an integrated schedule, managing critical path, and change management.
  • Proven Customer Account Manager with experience in developing opportunities within existing clients
  • Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
  • Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
  • Perform activities to improve the reliability and efficiency of operations

Job Offer
