Fluidstack is seeking a Site Project Manager to own on-site project delivery at a data center. You will oversee deployments, retrofits, upgrades, expansions, and equipment refreshes, coordinating with operations, facilities, engineering, and contractors to keep live sites running smoothly.

This role requires 3–5 years of end-to-end infrastructure project experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with scheduling tools.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years deploying and managing infrastructure, construction, facilities, or data center projects end to end.
  • Site-based: able to be on site at a data center full time.

  • Own project risk: identify issues early, drive mitigations, and make the on-the-ground calls that keep projects moving.
  • Coordinate with engineering and SMEs to validate scope and execution for technical site projects.
  • Maintain project artifacts: schedules, budgets, risk and issue logs, change records, and as-built/closeout documentation.
  • Provide clear status, risk, and milestone reporting to site leadership and program stakeholders.
  • Drive site-level process improvements, runbooks, and standards that make recurring projects faster and safer.

Job description

About Fluidstack

We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.

We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

Site Project Manager

About Fluidstack

At Fluidstack, we're building the infrastructure for abundant intelligence. We partner with top AI labs, governments, and enterprises - including Mistral, Poolside, Black Forest Labs, Meta, and more - to unlock compute at the speed of light.

We're working with urgency to make AGI a reality. As such, our team is highly motivated and committed to delivering world-class infrastructure. We treat our customers' outcomes as our own, taking pride in the systems we build and the trust we earn. If you're motivated by purpose, obsessed with excellence, and ready to work very hard to accelerate the future of intelligence, join us in building what's next.

About the Role

The Site Project Manager is the permanent, on-site owner of project delivery at one of Fluidstack's data centres. Once a site is live, you own the projects that keep it running and improving — retrofits, upgrades, expansions, equipment refreshes, and the cross-functional coordination operations depends on. You are the single point of accountability for getting site projects done safely, on schedule, and with minimal disruption to live operations.

You'll own projects end to end — scope, schedule, vendors, and budget — partnering closely with operations and facilities, engineering, and outside contractors.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery of on-site projects — deployments, retrofits, upgrades, expansions, equipment refresh, and decommissions
  • Plan and manage scope, schedule, budget, and vendors for each site project, keeping work on track within live-operations constraints
  • Partner with operations and facilities teams to sequence work around uptime, maintenance windows, and change-control requirements
  • Manage and hold accountable contractors, vendors, and service providers on site across the full project lifecycle
  • Own project risk: identify issues early, drive mitigations, and make the on-the-ground calls that keep projects moving
  • Coordinate with engineering and SMEs to validate scope and execution for technical site projects
  • Maintain project artifacts: schedules, budgets, risk and issue logs, change records, and as-built/closeout documentation
  • Provide clear status, risk, and milestone reporting to site leadership and program stakeholders
  • Drive site-level process improvements, runbooks, and standards that make recurring projects faster and safer
Basic Qualifications
  • 3-5 years deploying and managing infrastructure, construction, facilities, or data center projects end to end
  • Site-based: able to be on site at a data center full time
  • Demonstrated ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, and vendors with minimal oversight
  • Working understanding of data center or critical-facilities environments and how to execute projects without disrupting live operations
  • Experience managing contractors and vendors on active sites
  • Strong organization, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes in a fast-moving environment
  • Proficiency with project tracking and scheduling tools (Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with new deployments, retrofits, upgrades, or capital projects in live data centers or critical facilities
  • Familiarity with commissioning, MEP, power and cooling, or structured cabling
  • Background bridging construction/deployment handover into operations
  • Experience having delivered a data center deployment or build
  • PMP or CAPM, DCD, CDCP, BICSI, ITIL Foundation
  • Lean or Six Sigma, or SOP / process-development experience
Salary & Benefits
  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

The base salary range for this position is $220,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
