Job summary

PS&S, LLC in Warren, NJ is seeking a Licensing & Permitting Specialist to drive municipal approvals from submission to final signoff on construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in municipal permitting and site plan approvals.
• Familiarity with Land Use/Development regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and permitting/project tracking software; GIS exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end process of obtaining municipal approvals, licenses, permits, and site plan signoffs for construction and development projects.
• Research and interpret local municipal codes, zoning ordinances, and site plan requirements to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with municipal planning and zoning boards, engineering departments, and other local agencies to keep site plan applications moving through review and approval.
• Prepare and submit site plan applications, variance requests, and supporting documentation required for municipal approvals.
• Provide guidance to project teams on municipal permitting requirements, helping anticipate board comments or conditions before delays.
• Track permit conditions, approval timelines, and municipal deadlines to ensure construction schedules stay on track.
