Job summary

Turner Mining Group in Soda Springs, ID, seeks an Operations Superintendent to oversee daily field execution, safety leadership, and cross-functional coordination. You will supervise foremen and crews, manage production metrics, and ensure compliance with project plans and client requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, open-pit production knowledge, and experience in coordinating with maintenance and safety teams to optimize fleet availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of mining or heavy civil construction experience.
• At least 3 years in a Superintendent or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong understanding of open-pit production operations, material handling, and fleet management.
• Proficiency with project reporting systems and field reporting tools.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations and workplace exam requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field execution, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and cost.
• Approve timecards and field work orders; coordinate client approvals.
• Maintain records of production quantities, equipment hours, and labor utilization.
• Lead safety culture; enforce MSHA and Turner safety standards; conduct safety meetings.
• Supervise foremen and leadmen; manage onboarding, training, and appraisals.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize fleet availability.
• Provide field coaching to improve crew efficiency and quality of work.
• Monitor weather/site conditions and plan contingencies.
