Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years in materials management, warehousing, or logistics in construction/industrial setting.
• Forklift operation proficiency; certification is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and material specs.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials; verify quantities against POs and note discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain a safe, labeled materials storage area with inventory control.
• Issue materials to field personnel based on requisitions and schedules; record material movements.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
• Operate forklifts/telehandlers safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with project management, procurement, and field teams to forecast material needs and address supply chain issues.
• Follow safety policies and environmental regulations during handling and storage.
• Assist with packing materials for return to vendors or transfer to other sites.
• Maintain accurate material documentation (receiving reports, issue tickets, logs).
• Perform general housekeeping in materials yard and storage areas.
