Job summary

Velociti Services is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to oversee forklift operations, warehouse support, and cleaning in a large distribution facility. You will supervise forklift drivers, cleaners, and site staff, ensuring safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has 2+ years supervisory experience in warehouse or facilities, strong communication and organization, and the ability to balance warehouse and cleaning priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse, distribution, facilities or janitorial operations.
• Experience supervising forklift drivers or material-handling teams preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety and forklift operations.
• Cleaning, custodial, or floor care experience preferred.
• Experience supervising hourly employees.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and manage multiple priorities.

Schedule: Monday–Friday; flexibility for weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as needed

The Site Manager oversees daily forklift, warehouse support, and cleaning operations within a large warehouse/distribution facility. This hands‑on leader supervises forklift drivers, cleaners, and other site employees while ensuring safety, productivity, quality, staffing, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has strong warehouse and forklift leadership experience, along with the ability to oversee cleaning operations and maintain high facility standards.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift & Warehouse Operations:

• Supervise and direct daily activities of forklift drivers and warehouse support employees.
• Manage forklift staffing, assignments, productivity, and attendance.
• Ensure safe operation of forklifts and compliance with company and customer safety requirements.
• Ensure required equipment inspections are completed and report maintenance concerns.
• Monitor warehouse traffic, material movement, and overall operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with customer leadership regarding daily priorities, staffing, and operational needs.
• Address employee performance, safety, and operational issues promptly.

Cleaning & Facility Operations:

• Oversee daily cleaning and janitorial operations throughout the warehouse.
• Supervise cleaning employees and assign daily work responsibilities.
• Inspect warehouse floors, docks, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Ensure cleaning schedules and quality standards are consistently met.
• Oversee floor care, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and auto‑scrubbing.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and PPE.
• Monitor supplies and respond to spills, urgent cleaning needs, and customer requests.

Team Leadership & Customer Service:

• Lead, coach, and hold hourly employees accountable for safety, attendance, productivity, and quality.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Conduct regular team meetings and communicate priorities and expectations.
• Maintain a strong relationship with customer site leadership.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Monitor staffing levels and overtime to support efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, facilities, or janitorial operations.
• Previous experience supervising forklift drivers or material‑handling teams strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety and forklift operations.
• Cleaning, custodial, or floor care experience preferred.
• Experience supervising hourly employees.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic computer skills.

Ideal Candidate

A hands‑on operations leader who understands warehouse flow, forklift safety, employee management, and facility cleanliness. The successful candidate takes ownership, leads by example, communicates well with customers and employees, and can balance warehouse and cleaning priorities effectively.

Physical & Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a warehouse/distribution environment with frequent walking and exposure to forklifts, warehouse equipment, noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures.
