Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a major £16m construction project in Elgin on an initial 12-month contract. You will manage multiple trades, coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to high standards.

Reporting to the project management team, you will drive day-to-day site operations, maintain records, monitor progress and liaison with clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale or complex construction projects.
• Experience managing multiple trades and specialist subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, programme management and site logistics.
• SMSTS certification.
• CSCS card.
• First Aid qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience delivering commercial, public-sector or high-specification refurbishment and extension projects would be advantageous.

Freelance Site Manager

Location: Elgin, Moray Contract: 12 months Rate: £30–£33 per hour

Freelance Site Manager – £16m Construction Project

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a major £16m construction project in Elgin on an initial 12-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong background in managing complex construction projects, coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.

The Project

The project involves a major refurbishment and extension, incorporating a wide range of internal, external and specialist construction works. These include a two-storey extension, new studio and reception areas, two auditoriums, specialist ventilation systems, curtain walling, internal fit-out and external landscaping.

The Role

Reporting to the wider project management team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works progress efficiently and in line with the construction programme.

Responsibilities will include:

About You

To be considered, you should have:

• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• SMSTS certification.
• Relevant CSCS card.
• First Aid qualification.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience delivering commercial, public-sector or high-specification refurbishment and extension projects would be advantageous.
