Job summary

Buston and Maughan is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee gas and heating installation works across contracts and sites, ensuring safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

You will lead site teams and subcontractors, monitor performance and programme delivery, conduct on-site inspections, manage resources, and maintain a positive health and safety culture from start to finish to deliver a professional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in the gas and heating industry and social housing environments.
• Proven leadership of operational teams and subcontractors.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and site discipline.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage quality, performance, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of gas and heating installation works across sites.
• Support and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor performance, productivity and programme delivery.
• Ensure resources are deployed to meet operational needs.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture and conduct site inspections.
• Oversee welfare facilities and ensure sites operate safely.

Job description

Due to the continued growth Buston and Maughan are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to manage the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of gas and heating installation works across allocated contracts and sites. The Site Manager is responsible for operational performance, quality, health & safety compliance, customer satisfaction and the effective management of site teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of gas and heating installation works
• Support and coordinate site teams and subcontractors
• Monitor performance, productivity and programme delivery across assigned sites
• Ensure resources are effectively deployed to meet operational requirements
• Support the Head of Operations in achieving business and contract objectives
• Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture
• Carry our regular site H&S inspections
• Carry out scaffolding inspections
• Conduct site set-up inspections and toolbox talks
• Complete visual quality inspections of completed works
• Undertake end-of-day quality checks and carry out customer satisfaction checks
• Raise follow-on works for other trades
• Ensure asbestos procedures and controls are followed
• Investigate and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe practices
• Oversee welfare facilities and ensure sites operate safely and effectively
• Take ownership of the customer journey from start to finish
• Ensure customers receive a professional and positive experience throughout the works
• Ensure inspections, audits and site records are accurately recorded, when required

Requirements

• Experience within the gas and heating industry
• Experience working within social housing
• Experience managing operational teams
• Strong understanding of domestic heating installation and maintenance activities
• Sound knowledge of health & safety requirements on site
• Experience managing quality, performance and customer service standards
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experienced with scaffolding
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• ACS gas certs (preferred)
• Full UK Driving Licence
