Job summary

Steel Service in Flowood, MS, is seeking a Site Project Coordinator to manage day-to-day site subcontractor activities and coordinate with SSC plant operations. You will schedule site deliveries, attend meetings, and relay information to the SSC Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • Education requirements: HS diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in Structural Steel Fabrication and/or Erection.
  • OSHA 10 Hour Certification.
  • Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Blue Beam, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate deliveries from plant and vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials, etc.
  • Attend and participate in job site meetings to provide input, communications, and information pertinent to SSC Project Manager.
  • Produce daily reports.
  • Review project status and coordinate with general contractor and erection subcontractors.
  • Ensure all subcontractors are up to date on field use drawings.
  • Make decisions on daily delivery schedules to communicate with site subcontractors and project manager.
  • Maintain efficiency of operations through communication with plant vendors and suppliers.
  • Interact daily with erection subcontractors, general contractor, SSC PM and plant resources.
  • Use company or rented vehicle, laptop, cell phone.

Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm M-F As determined by direct supervisor.

Job Status: Full Time

Reports To: President/Project Management

Amount of Travel Required: 50%

Position Summary

Responsible for the coordination of day-to-day activities of the site subcontractors with SSC plant operations. Responsible for scheduling site deliveries from the plant and vendors, coordinating with general contractor and erection subcontractors. Must attend job site meetings and relay pertinent information to SSC Project Manager. Responsible for investigating any errors reported by the erection sub-contractors and coordinate resolution with SSC engineering and project manager. Must maintain daily logs of job site activities. Responsible for reviewing daily reports, drawing changes and ensuring erection subcontractors are up to date on field use drawings.

Requirements
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Associate degree (two year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Trade School or related construction trades experience.

Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Construction Management

Experience: 5 plus years of experience in Structural Steel Fabrication and/or Erection.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Blue Beam, etc...

Certifications & Licenses: OSHA 10 Hour Course
