The Site Lead / Formal Training Unit (FTU) Manager is responsible for overseeing all academic and simulator training activities at the assigned training site. This role provides leadership and direction for contract instructors, support personnel, and operations staff involved in maintaining and operating Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs) and delivering aircrew instruction. The Site Lead serves as the principal liaison between CAE and the customer’s Program Office, ensuring contract compliance, operational effectiveness, training throughput, and a safe and secure working environment. The position also coordinates scheduling, manages quality assurance programs, supports configuration requirements, and represents the company in day-to-day base and community interactions.
Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Domestic and international travel may be required. May require work in simulator environments involving exposure to hydraulics, electrical systems, extreme heat, airborne particles, loud noise, and mechanical components.
