Site Manager / Multi-Site Cleaning Operations Supervisor
Job Summary
The Site Manager / Multi-Site Cleaning Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning and janitorial operations across multiple client locations. This position ensures consistent service quality, employee performance, safety compliance, and client satisfaction while managing multiple teams, schedules, and shifts.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational and problem-solving skills who can effectively manage frontline employees, respond to operational challenges, and maintain high standards across all assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee daily cleaning operations across multiple client sites to ensure contractual service standards are met or exceeded.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits and promptly address deficiencies.
- Ensure cleaning scopes, schedules, and site-specific checklists are completed properly.
- Respond to urgent operational issues, employee call-outs, client requests, and service escalations.
- Maintain a consistent and professional level of service across all assigned locations.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, coach, train, and support site supervisors and cleaning staff.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and shift coverage at each assigned location.
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, professionalism, and compliance with company expectations.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Address performance concerns and support corrective action when necessary.
- Enforce company policies, attendance standards, uniforms, and dress code requirements.
Scheduling & Workforce Management
- Create and manage employee schedules across multiple locations and shifts, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend operations as needed.
- Coordinate coverage for employee absences, vacancies, call-outs, and special service requests.
- Monitor timekeeping and assist with accurate payroll submission.
- Support labor management and help control overtime and staffing costs.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, safety procedures, and client-specific protocols.
- Conduct routine safety meetings and reinforce proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Ensure employees receive appropriate safety and site-specific training.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards and operational risks.
- Maintain required documentation related to inspections, incidents, safety, and employee performance.
Client Relations & Communication
- Serve as a primary operational point of contact for clients at assigned locations.
- Respond to client concerns, service requests, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and site contacts.
- Communicate operational updates, staffing concerns, and service issues to senior management.
- Support client satisfaction and contract retention through consistent service delivery.
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Monitor cleaning supplies, equipment, and inventory across assigned locations.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stored, and available for employee use.
- Coordinate equipment repairs or replacement when necessary.
- Monitor supply usage and work to prevent unnecessary waste, loss, or shortages.
Reporting & Administration
- Complete and submit site inspection reports, incident reports, attendance documentation, and performance records.
- Track operational performance indicators, including quality scores, attendance, staffing levels, turnover, and client feedback.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding site performance, staffing challenges, and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all assigned locations.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of supervisory or management experience in cleaning, janitorial, facilities, hospitality, or another service-based industry.
- Previous experience managing employees across multiple locations is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with employee scheduling, timekeeping, staffing, and performance management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to travel between multiple assigned locations as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical duties throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 30–40 pounds when necessary.
- Comfortable working in active cleaning and service environments.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check when required by client locations or company policy.
