Job summary

USA Rare Earth is seeking a hands-on IT leader to serve as the primary IT presence at our Wheat Ridge facility, spanning corporate IT, lab systems, and OT. You will set priorities, supervise on-site and vendor activities, and report to the Head of IT Upstream and the SVP of Mining.

You will own the local IT stack, drive security, continuity, and compliance, and collaborate with on-site teams to enable safe, scalable technology solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in hands-on IT support or administration, with lead experience.
• Experience as sole or lead IT resource on a site, autonomous.
• Strong Windows Server and desktop administration in production.
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing vendors, MSPs, and service providers to SLAs.
• Proven track record delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
• Experience aligning with central IT standards and policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve local network, server and cloud infrastructure (Azure / AWS as applicable).
• Administer Microsoft 365 day to day across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Entra ID.
• Build, deploy and support Windows desktops and laptops across OT/IT environments.
