Blue Origin seeks an experienced leader to oversee facility operations at Lunar Manufacturing sites in Merritt Island, FL. You will guide decision‑making across complex scenarios and work with Facilities, Risk Management, and Operations leaders to mitigate risks and coordinate changes affecting flight hardware and site infrastructure.

The role requires extensive program management experience, PMP/EVMS credentials, and exceptional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, engineering preferred.
• 8 years of program management/operational experience.
• PMP certification and EVMS experience.
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data.
• Ability to balance technical, business and organizational influences.
• Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments and accountability.

• Ensure information is appropriately gathered, organized, rendered, and presented to maximize decision speed; ensure decisions are executed as intended; manage the capture, assignment, tracking, implementation, and institutionalization of actions.
• Maintain and manage strategic and tactical topical priorities; act as integrator connecting work streams that would otherwise remain siloed; manage the communication cadence and collaboratively develop content with the Operations VP and Rocket Park Leadership Team.
• Lead change management activities for site facilities to evaluate, coordinate, and approve new requirements or changes.

About the Role

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It supports Manufacturing and Supply Chain across all Blue Origin facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preference toward Engineering Disciplines
• 8 years of relevant program management/operational experience
• Program Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data
• Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences
• Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments, and accountability

• Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
• Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre‑employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.
