Job summary

NY State Solar is seeking a Site Inspector to join our team in New York. The role involves meeting DOB inspectors on-site before appointments, opening electrical equipment, and verifying code compliance to ensure quality solar system installations.

You will document inspection results and recommend corrective work, collaborating with the DOB and project team to maintain safety and regulatory standards. This full-time, in-person position offers benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Basic electrical knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with DOB inspectors on site 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment.
• Open existing electrical equipment and verify work integrity and code compliance.
• Correct any issues before the inspection begins if present.
• Rectify issues identified by the inspector at the time of inspection.
• Write up an email with results of the inspection and recommended compliant work.

Compensation: $22-$26/hour

Job Title Duties & Responsibilities:

• Meet with the DOB inspectors on site a half hour before the scheduled appointment
• Open existing electrical equipment
• Verify work integrity and code compliance
• Correct any issues before the inspection starts if any
• Rectify issues that can be addressed the inspector identifies at the time of inspection.
• Write up an email with results of the inspection and any work to make it compliant.
