Job summary

Marmon Medical Manufacturing in Angola, IN is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to serve as site HR leader for a fast-paced CNC machining and precision manufacturing operation. You will partner with operations leadership to support recruiting, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 6 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred (CNC/machining, metal fabrication, or industrial production).
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build credibility and relationships with employees at all levels.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Partner with manufacturing leaders to provide day-to-day HR support across all shifts.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard hourly and salaried employees for machining and manufacturing positions.
• Support staffing for a 24-hour operation, including second/third shift meetings as needed.
• Advise supervisors on employee relations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Administer performance management processes and assist with employee development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Maintain HRIS data confidentiality and accuracy.
• Coordinate leave, benefits enrollment, and workers’ compensation claims.
• Assist with wage and salary administration and compensation initiatives.
• Conduct investigations and recommend resolutions.
• Develop and facilitate orientation and training programs.
• Promote engagement, retention, and recognition programs.
