Job summary

Branscome is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for Eastern Shore, Virginia to support construction and grading. You will operate dozers and other heavy machinery to move dirt, sand, and stone, while reading slope stakes and elevations to spec. A 3–5 year track record with dozers is required.

High school diploma preferred; OSHA/MSHA certification a plus. Valid driver's license required. Branscome offers health/dental/vision, life insurance, PTO, retirement plans, and professional development

Qualifications

• Operate heavy equipment to move and level materials such as dirt, sand, and stone.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Read slope elevations and stakeout and interpret grade elevations.

Responsibilities

• Spread dirt in fill area and perform rough and fine grade operations.
• Direct trucks and equipment for off-loading and spreading materials.
• Dress and clean up job site at completion.
• Operate equipment safely and perform normal maintenance.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
