Job summary

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Site Foreperson for the Pottstown area to direct field crews on highway, pipeline, and other construction projects. You will read blueprints, plan work, and ensure safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage costs and scheduling. A related degree or experience, along with OSHA certification, is preferred. We offer comprehensive company-paid benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of related experience
• Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Mathematical skills including probability and geometry and trigonometry
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Problem solving
• Basic computer skills including Internet, email, and the use of digital cameras for work documentation
• Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
• Two years of related experience and/or training
• Supervisory experience
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and job documents; record daily events in job diary
• Schedule materials, equipment and work for the crew; create site SIPs
• Obtain quantities from crews and prepare for billing with PM
• Analyze cost reports for production adjustments and code onsite costs
• Conduct site meetings; attend E&S and Job Turnover meetings
• Communicate goals and lead by example; enforce company values
• Understand and anticipate customer needs; represent the company professionally
• Ensure compliance with business practices; support repeat business

Pottstown Division of H&K Group, Inc. is looking for a Site foreperson to direct the activities of workers concerned with construction of highways, pipelines, or other construction projects.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to read blueprints and job related documents. Record daily events in job diary.
• Schedules materials, equipment and work for the crew. Analyze crew SIP's to create site SIP's.
• Obtains quantities from crews and prepare for billing process with PM.
• Analyzes cost reports for production adjustments. Accurately code onsite costs and control them.
• Conducts site meetings. Attend E&S meetings and Job Turnover meetings.
• Communicates goals and purposes effectively. Lead and demonstrate by example.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR one year of related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Mathematical skills including probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Problem solving
