Job summary

Capstone is seeking a Site Fire Chief to lead a full-service, all-risk fire, EMS, and rescue operation at an industrial facility in Thousand Oaks, California. The role focuses on strategic planning, budgeting, training, prevention programs, and ensuring operational readiness.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in leadership, mentorship, and emergency response, with a track record of building and directing high-performing teams in safety-sensitive environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• AHA CPR/AED credentials.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, OR ten years related leadership/chief officer experience and training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 10 years managing a field operations team, preferably at a Chief Officer level.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety as the number one objective for all personnel. Enforces common safety standards and demonstrates that the belief is all accidents and injuries are preventable and unacceptable.
• Maintains a high level of service and communication with the customer and/or representative. Directly assess job performance and possible job needs.
• Administers, abide by, and holds subordinates accountable for Company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, mission, guiding principles.
• Conducts crew inspections, reviews reports, and investigates complaints to ensure compliance with Company policies, rules, procedures, and Human Resource laws and policies.
• Maintains clear, timely, and accurate communications between company/customer management, administration staff, and personnel to ensure that services and support activities achieve company objectives, and contractual obligations.
• Plans and oversees quality of the operations and field crews, including monitoring of work standards, productivity, quality, and service.
• Provides technical assistance to Captains and staff in the completion of their work and personally handles or directs complex tasks or multi-crew projects.
