Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. seeks an experienced financial leader to oversee all financial aspects for the assigned location. You will coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with DFA policies and cross-functional cooperation with enterprise-wide departments.

You will lead GL close, variance analyses, and cost-saving initiatives, while managing staff and building strong relationships with leadership and regulators as needed.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge and financial reporting expertise
• Ability to own financial and accounting functions
• Clear, executive-level data presentation and communication
• Strong analytical capability to interpret large data sets

• Ability to lead and develop staff and work across departments

Responsibilities

• Oversee financials for the assigned location including analysis, forecasts, budgeting and reporting
• Maintain accounting records and strengthen controls to mitigate financial risk
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, plus regulatory and monthly milk reporting
• Direct GL closing, journal entries, variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide periodic financial analyses and insights to leadership with action plans
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements
• Ensure cash optimization, asset protection, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor inventory, AR, AP, fixed assets, and internal controls
• Lead and develop staff, manage scheduling and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficient processes
