Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a field operations assistant to help obtain, evaluate, and coordinate information for project construction in line with contract documents. The role supports safety, schedule adherence, and quality through hands-on field work.

The position involves reviewing drawings, assisting with daily reports, and helping maintain electronic field documents while promoting Turner safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education in Engineering, Construction or related field.
• Building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
• Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient with computer applications including MS Office.
• Basic understanding of scheduling programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required.
• Assist in implementing the site safety program as required.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards and applicable codes.
• Assist in maintaining contract documents and electronic field records.
• Assist in preparing Daily Construction Reports (DCRs).
• Review drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for coordination and accuracy.
• Assist in preparing as-built documentation.
• Support Turner interests and related activities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
