Ideal candidates have 5+ years of frontend experience, strong React/Next.js skills, and a deep understanding of SEO, performance, and CRO concepts. This role supports remote work with optional in-office days in select locations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—from marketing to sales to product design—to build dynamic pages, run A/B tests, and optimize conversion funnels.In this role, you’ll design and develop scalable features that enhance the user journey, integrate feedback loops, monitor key metrics, and ensure the reliability of our acquisition funnel. By staying updated on industry trends and focusing on delightful UX, you’ll continuously refine our web properties—ultimately delivering an exceptional experience from first touch through ongoing engagement.If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.What You Will Do:- Lead complex frontend projects that establish Vercel as a gold standard for brand and product marketing.- Collaborate with growth and marketing teams to A/B test landing pages for lead generation across multiple channels.- Design and implement scalable applications, web services, and APIs with a focus on user experience and performance.- Contribute to our design system and uphold industry-leading UX standards (e.g., interactions, micro-animations, layout consistency).- Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale the codebase and team productivity.- Troubleshoot and fix bugs, delivering quick, high-quality resolutions.- Write technical documents and maintain internal tools to empower other teams.- Review and provide feedback on contributions from other engineers.- Identify bottlenecks and optimize for conversion, speed, and reliability across the funnel.- Critically think about foundational areas of the Vercel application to ensure ease of maintenance and future extensibility.About You:- 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience (React, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, or similar).- Strong proficiency in Next.js and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks.- Full stack experience (comfortable designing or consuming APIs and working with various services).- Deep understanding of SEO principles and best practices—especially around performance, accessibility, and search optimization.- Proven knowledge of A/B testing concepts and conversion rate optimization.- Stellar cross-functional communication skills—you can work effectively with marketing, design, and product to reach shared goals.- Eye for good user experiences and a knack for “getting the visuals right.”- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, continuously grow, and master your craft.Bonus If You:- Have familiarity with the Vercel platform.- Comfortable using Tailwind CSS.- Background in web design or interest in design systems.- Interest in developer tooling domain.Benefits:- Competitive compensation package, including equity.- Inclusive Healthcare Package.- Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.- Flexible Time Off.- We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $196,000 - $294,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
