Job summary

Catalent is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for its Manassas, VA site. You will lead all EHS and security activities, ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and GMP, and drive continuous safety improvements across operations.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and ability to work with regulators and internal teams. Responsibilities include risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, training, and managing PPE, waste programs, and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in an industrial setting (food, beverage, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical).
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, FDA, and GMP.
• Experience liaising with federal, state, local inspection agencies on EHS matters.
• Ability to lead and chair safety committees and drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend control measures for environmental, health, and safety concerns.
• Conduct hazard identifications and risk assessments for tasks and site-wide operations.
• Chair the safety committee and communicate safety programs to employees.
• Perform EHS audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and investigations with recommended actions.
• Lead incident and accident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, FDA, and GMP.
• Ensure OSHA-compliant recordkeeping for accidents and injuries.
• Manage Workers' Compensation program and track injuries and metrics.
• Liaise with environmental health and safety agencies and guide internal/external customers on EHS issues.
• Develop and deliver training programs on safety policies and practices.
