Job summary

eBay is seeking a Site Health & Safety Manager for our Louisville, KY warehouse. You will lead the site’s health and safety program, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving a proactive safety culture across operations.

You will partner with Operations, Security, Facilities, and Global Health & Safety to implement prevention programs, perform risk assessments, and manage incidents. A strong background in EH&S and safety committee leadership is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in health and safety.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, ANSI regulations.
  • 2+ years in EH&S with ISO 45001 and ANSI Z10 experience.
  • Experience leading a safety committee.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure EH&S compliance with local, state, and federal regs; conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Lead risk assessments, job hazards analysis, and facility inspections; drive corrective actions.
  • Partner with Operations, Security, Facilities, and Global Health & Safety to align safety with business goals.
  • Own incident response and root-cause investigations; implement corrective actions and track follow-ups.
  • Use PDCA to measure safety performance and continuously improve the safety management system.
  • Lead change-management processes to account for health and safety in on-site operations.

About The Team And The Role

You will be joining the growing Authentication team and have a significant impact on a fast-growing business within eBay! The Site Health & Safety Manager leads all aspects of the site’s health and safety program in a dynamic warehouse environment. This role ensures compliance with regulations and company standards while driving a strong, proactive safety culture. Success requires close partnership with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into daily operations and critical initiatives. The Site H&S Manager will lead by example, engage employees at all levels, and continuously improve systems to reduce risk and promote accountability across. This leader is a subject matter expert in the areas of EH&S in distribution and can clearly articulate, develop and support a risk‑based, prevention program. Reporting to the global H&S manager, this individual will implement programs, perform risk assessment, and ensure proactive risk management.

Schedule: 11am-7pm (Monday-Friday)

This is an on‑site position in Louisville, KY.

What You Will Accomplish
  • EH&S Compliance: Ensure maintained compliance to relevant local, state, and federal regulations; implement industry standards. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Risk Awareness: Perform regular risk assessments, job hazards analysis, and facility inspections. Identify issues, mentor and lead site teams in the development of a corrective action plan to address root causes.
  • Business Partnership: Work hand‑in‑hand with Operations Managers, Security, Facilities, Global Health & Safety, and other key leadership to align safety initiatives with business goals. Serve as a trusted adviser to site team.
  • Incident Management: Own response and investigation processes for incidents and near misses. Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and track follow‑ups.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use data‑driven analysis and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) methodology, measure performance, and improve the efficiency of the safety management system.
  • Management of Change: Driving a robust process to ensure safety and health implications are accounted for. Identify, recommend, and verify control measures for operational changes on‑site.
Requirements
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in occupational health and safety, science, engineering, or related field.
  • Understanding of EH&S regulations and compliance requirements (OSHA, NFPA, EPA, ANSI, etc)
  • 2+ years EH&S experience, solid understanding of EHS Management systems. (ISO 45001, ANSI Z10, etc.)
  • Experience running and leading a successful safety committee.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, training development and delivery experience.
Preferences
  • Relevant certifications (OSHA 40hr, ASP/CSP/GSP, NEBOSH, etc.)
  • Environmental and ergonomics experience preferred
Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

80,000-90,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at‑will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
