Job summary

The YMCA of the East Bay is seeking a Site Director in Castro Valley, CA to oversee a school-age program, ensuring high-quality programming, staff leadership, family partnerships, and compliance with education and licensing requirements.

You will plan daily site operations, supervise staff, build partnerships with schools and families, manage documentation, and monitor program outcomes to meet contracts and grants.

Qualifications

• AA Degree required; BA/BS degree preferred.
• Three years related experience in school-based learning or expanded learning.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other computer programs.
• Pre-employment health screening/TB and DOJ/FBI LiveScan clearances.
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR, AED, Child Abuse Prevention trainings within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily site operations, administration, equipment, documentation and files.
• Ensure California Department of Education requirements and other standards are met.
• Plan, implement and evaluate high-quality programming supporting academics and healthy living.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and development of staff and volunteers.
• Coach and train staff, monitor performance, and ensure development plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with families, school administration, teachers, and partners.
• Maintain attendance, enrollment data and required reports and documentation.
• Support program outcomes and enrollment targets.
• Lead a healthy environment and ensure resources are used effectively.
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
• Report suspected child abuse per mandated reporting procedures.
