The Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth is seeking two Site Directors for new school-based sites at Shawmut Hills Elementary and Southwest Elementary. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids is searching for 2 dynamic individuals to join our team as Site Directors at our new school based sites at Shawmut Hills Elementary and Southwest Elementary! We are looking for positive, high energy candidates who believe in our mission and have a passion in making a difference in the lives of youth.
The ideal will have a minimum of three - five years work experience in Boys & Girls Clubs or similar organization; planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of youth, and supervising staff.
The ideal candidate is very organized, has excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to multi-task.
Bilingual candidates preferred.
Directs and manages the overall daily operations of the assigned Club location. Ensures a safe environment for Club members and staff. Maintains primary responsibility for quality programs, service delivery, staff supervision and training, facilities management, community relations, membership administration, and applicable administrative duties.
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff, including professional staff and volunteers, to interpret and explain the organizational mission, program objectives, and standards; discuss issues; and provide and receive information. Has regular contact with administrative staff.
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members’ parents, and others to promote the success of the Club and organization, assist in resolving conflicts, and publicize the Club.

The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet to moderate in an office setting and moderate to loud in recreation and play settings when children are present.
All employees who work directly with children at Boys & Girls Club of Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth locations may be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
