Job summary

Olsson seeks a South Site Design Group Leader in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. You will oversee a high-performing group of engineers and designers, setting performance expectations, directing project delivery, and ensuring client satisfaction across multiple markets.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with other group leaders, and support marketing and business development while upholding safety standards. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 8 years of relevant experience are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, landscape architecture or related area preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
• At least 4 years supervising others.
• General understanding of Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, leadership and management skills.
• Proven track record in meeting/exceeding client expectations.
• Ability to attract, develop and retain talented staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily management and leadership for a group.
• Manages staff and group dynamics; prioritizes projects; sets goals.
• Monitors project performance and staff utilization; drives efficiency.
• Oversees project management, quality control, and project execution.
• Encourages staff development; provides feedback and mentorship.
• Communicates with group members about initiatives, goals and accountability.
• Ensures high client service orientation and effective client communication.
• Outlines training/mentoring expectations to enhance technical skills.
• Collaborates with other group leaders to align goals.
• Oversees marketing efforts and coordinates with business development.
