Job summary

Worley seeks a Site Construction Manager - Nights to lead night shift field execution on complex industrial projects. You will drive safety, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory compliance during nighttime operations.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Project Delivery Services, you will develop plans, mentor personnel, and deliver high-quality results while fostering collaboration with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • Typically 7+ years of progressive construction, field operations, or project management experience.
  • Experience leading contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, and multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling and field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead night shift construction activities with site teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Drive safety culture through hazard identification, risk mitigation, and adherence to HSE requirements.
  • Manage construction execution to meet approved schedules, budgets, and milestones.
  • Support project delivery by aligning night operations with execution plans and customer objectives.
  • Monitor performance, productivity, and resources; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project controls, commissioning, and daytime construction management teams for seamless execution.
  • Identify and resolve complex construction challenges while minimizing schedule, cost, and safety impacts.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specs, project standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to supervisors and craft personnel.
  • Prepare progress reports, presentations, and status updates for leadership and customers.
  • Mentor and develop assigned personnel; build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Play an integral role in delivering world-class construction projects by providing site-based leadership during critical night shift operations. As Site Construction Manager - Nights, you will lead field execution activities, coordinate multidisciplinary construction teams, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery during night operations.

This position plays a vital role in maintaining project momentum, maximizing productivity, and ensuring construction activities are completed in accordance with schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations. You will serve as a key liaison between construction, engineering, project management, contractors, and customer stakeholders while driving operational excellence across all nighttime construction activities.

Purpose of the role

The Site Construction Manager - Nights is responsible for directing and managing night shift construction operations to ensure successful project execution and achievement of business objectives. This role provides leadership, planning, coordination, and oversight of site activities while ensuring compliance with project requirements, contractual obligations, company standards, and regulatory requirements.

You will develop a deep understanding of project objectives, customer expectations, and execution strategies while fostering a culture focused on safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with overall project goals.

You will be responsible for

  • Leading all night shift construction activities and providing visible field leadership to site teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Driving a strong safety culture through proactive leadership, hazard identification, risk mitigation, and adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Managing and coordinating construction execution to ensure work progresses according to approved schedules, budgets, and project milestones.
  • Supporting overall project delivery by aligning night shift operations with project execution plans and customer objectives.
  • Monitoring construction performance, productivity, and resource utilization while implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, project controls, commissioning, and daytime construction management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Identifying and resolving complex construction challenges while minimizing impacts to schedule, cost, quality, and safety performance.
  • Supporting contract compliance and ensuring construction activities meet customer specifications, project standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing field priorities and allocating resources effectively to support safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Providing technical guidance and leadership to supervisors, field personnel, contractors, and craft professionals.
  • Preparing and delivering progress reports, presentations, and status updates for project leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Supporting workforce development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management of assigned personnel.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, contractors, regulators, and project stakeholders to promote collaboration and successful project outcomes.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on construction execution, productivity, quality, and operational excellence.

What you’ll bring to the role

You are an accomplished construction leader with experience managing field operations in complex industrial, energy, chemicals, resources, infrastructure, or EPC project environments. You excel in fast-paced project settings and possess the leadership capabilities required to manage critical nighttime construction activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant construction experience.
  • Typically 7+ years of progressive construction, field operations, or project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction execution on industrial, energy, chemicals, infrastructure, mining, manufacturing, or major capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, project execution methodologies, scheduling, productivity management, and field operations.
  • Proven ability to make sound independent decisions in dynamic project environments with financial, operational, environmental, and organizational implications.
  • Experience leading contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, and multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction systems, tools, work processes, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to evaluate construction risks and implement practical solutions that support project success.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and coordination capabilities.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and performance updates for management and customer audiences.
