Job Description

We are seeking a Site Construction Manager to lead construction activities, including planning, budgeting, permitting, and overseeing construction from initiation to completion. The role involves coordinating with project teams, managing on-site operations, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The successful candidate will have at least ten years of experience in heavy industrial construction and will report directly to the Head of Construction in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure timely, within-budget, and high-quality project completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts during construction.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage site logistics, including materials delivery and storage.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify work adherence to plans and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction management, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM.
  • Experience with large-scale energy projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
