Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia is hiring a Site Coach in Pooler, GA for full-time regular Sales/Training duties. Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent; additional job-related experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively perform the position's essential functions.
  • Prior experience in training, coaching, or mentoring, particularly in a retail or production environment, is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, including effectively conveying information and providing constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for learning and development, genuinely wanting to help others succeed and grow professionally.
  • Understanding of metrics and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment and business applications.
  • Basic understanding of PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and development software.
  • Ability to conduct training for all sites, both in-person and virtually.
  • Must have high initiative and be able to work to deadlines, manage multiple projects, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate training needs.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to any location upon request.
  • Must have a valid GA driver s license, valid insurance, ability to be insured under the company s vehicle insurance policy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-the-job training sessions for new hires and existing team members, focusing on critical aspects of Goodwill's retail and production operations, including customer service, merchandising, inventory management, production processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Provide hands‑on coaching and support to team members, guiding them through tasks and processes to ensure understanding and proficiency.
  • Ensures trainee completes all mandated training modules and competencies (e.g., Orientation, OSHA and safety requirements, ethical and behavior modules, and job‑related tasks in the approved time frame).
  • In the absence of a trainee, perform essential roles assigned for operational success.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to identify training needs, develop plans, and implement targeted solutions.
  • Ability to attend all required meetings related to training and development.
  • Adapt training techniques and methodologies to meet the needs of diverse learners and accommodate different learning styles.
  • Administer competency assessments and evaluations to gauge trainees' progress and proficiency in critical areas.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where team members feel supported, motivated, and empowered to succeed.
  • Responsible for facilitating associate development and orientation programs.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of assigned development program(s), including all non‑classroom items such as pre‑work and post‑work, coaching employees during and outside of the classroom on assignments, and tracking completion of course objectives and assignments.
  • Responsible for assisting with designing, developing, and delivering assigned training curriculum and programs.
  • Responsible for sustaining the learning of all participants by providing regular and consistent updates on content, materials, and other relevant information once they've completed the program(s).
  • Understand and monitor metrics to identify key business effectiveness, potential issues, results, and ROI of all development and orientation site programs. Provides reports to leadership on relevant trends as requested.
  • Ensure that training is up‑to‑date on the evolving needs and changes within the DGR.
  • Responsible for cross‑training to teach all programs/courses and orientation. Facilitates cross‑training with other Talent Programs specialists as needed.
  • Acts as an internal consultant on training issues within all leadership development programs.
  • Maintains open availability to provide flexible training support, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed or assigned by management to support operational success and team development.

SITE COACH

Full Time Regular SALES WORKERS Pooler, GA, US

Salary: $16.75 Annually

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under minimal supervision, facilitates operational development, employee development, and orientation programs, and provides comprehensive on-the-job training to new hires and existing team members. This position requires a dedicated individual with strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills committed to fostering a continuous learning and development culture. Supports training at all retail/donated goods facilities as required. Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of training. Will be involved in course design and existing course enhancements.
