Job summary

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) seeks energetic candidates to join our Huntsville-based team. A Network Specialist III provides on-site LAN/WAN sustainment and serves as a Site Cluster Lead over remote locations.

This position is contingent upon contract award. Required qualifications include a technical bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience or 8 years via vocational schooling, plus proficiency in Windows networks, Cisco, and SolarWinds.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Sciences) with five years of related experience or
Successful completion of a certified technical/vocational school with eight years of related experience
Proficient in Windows networks, Cisco Systems, and Orion SolarWinds with experience in ZTA and methodologies.
Understanding of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and LAN/WAN standards.
Experience with DoD network environments, OTDR, cable testers, and WAN connectivity.

Responsibilities

Performs advanced network engineering, troubleshooting, and sustainment at the assigned site.
Acts as Site Cluster Lead coordinating support across multiple remote single-position locations.
Applies advanced Cisco, SolarWinds, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) practices.
Maintains cable plant, routing/switching infrastructure, and WAN connectivity at the site.
