Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Site/Civil Engineering to join our team in New Haven, CT. You will support feasibility studies, field work, and preparation of technical reports and design plans, gaining hands-on experience under industry leadership.

During the internship, you will work on site evaluation, data collection, and documentation while applying AutoCAD/Civil 3D tools and engineering fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Student actively pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents: reports, plans, schedules, cost estimates, specifications.
• Analyze soil, terrain, hydrology, topography and geology data for planning and design.
• Support zoning, permit assessments, sidewalk estimates, and project feasibility analyses.
• Provide field inspection support and collaborate with team members on tasks.
