Job summary

You will work closely with leaders on land development projects to gain practical experience. The ideal candidate is pursuing a civil engineering degree, has a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrates proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering;
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred;
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite applications;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
• Possess reliable transportation for job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects;
• Assist with preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS Office;
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical data from reports, maps, drawings and tests;
• Support zoning, ordinance and permit assessments, sidewalk estimations, and project feasibility analysis;
• Provide field inspection services as needed;
• Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to project tasks;
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments;
• Perform other duties as requested.
