Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Engineering Intern in our Gainesville, VA office for Summer 2027. This internship offers hands-on project experience, mentoring from industry professionals, and exposure to current design technologies. The role supports multi-disciplinary civil engineering tasks in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Previous internship experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Site/Civil engineering practices including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, water and sanitary sewer design, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using CADD and Microsoft Office software.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $17.75/hour- $28.75/hour. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.

Summer Intern Program

During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.

Our interns get the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and events, including:
