HDR, Inc. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer in the United States (Bellevue, WA) to lead civil design on a variety of projects and mentor junior staff.

This role requires coordinating with multiple teams, ensuring quality per HDR QMS, and delivering robust civil solutions for infrastructure, data centers, and commercial environments. You will design site layouts, grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and related civil activities, prepare contract documents, and supervise professionals as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
• Proficient with civil CAD software and MS Office.

In the role of Site Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, collaborating with teams in different locations.
• Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Performs quality checks and reviews for project deliverables per the HDR Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements.
• Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities
• Perform quantity calculations
• Prepare specifications and contract documents
• Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this position
• Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand
• Proficiency with the following software packages: AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading and profile tools including Storm & Sanitary Analysis), MSTeams and BlueBeam
• A minimum of 3 years experience in general civil engineering
• Proficient and demonstrated applied experience with CAD civil engineering software such as Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) as required

Required Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Good verbal and written communication skills
