HDR is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to support its Building Engineering Services Group in North Carolina. The role focuses on site civil design, project management support, and coordination with agencies and clients to deliver complex civil infrastructure projects.

The position requires a PE license, leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in Civil 3D/OpenRoads. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC with opportunities to mentor staff and lead project tasks.

Qualificações

• 5 years of experience in general site civil engineering.
• Familiar with OpenRoads software.
• Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D and related civil design tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design and plan production for general site civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading, storm drainage analysis and design, paving, site utilities.
• Perform quantity calculations and complete associated calculation reports.
• Prepare specifications and contract documents.
• Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed.
• Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
• Perform site due diligence, including zoning and permitting requirements for local and state agencies.
• Manage project and permitting coordination with local and state agencies.
• Coordinate site design with clients, local and state agencies, and project team.
• Work in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as needed.

HDR is looking for a Site Civil Engineer with the technical skills and desire to help support our nationally recognized Building Engineering Services Group in North Carolina. In the role of Site Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Design and plan production for general site civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading, storm drainage analysis and design (conveyance systems, water quality and quantity BMPs), paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities.
• Perform quantity calculations and complete associated calculation reports.
• Prepare specifications and contract documents
• Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this position.
• Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
• Perform site due diligence, including zoning and permitting requirements for local and state agencies.
• Manage project and permitting coordination with local and state agencies.
• Coordinate site design with clients, local and state agencies, and project team (project managers, engineers, designers, etc).
• Work in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in general site civil engineering
• Familiar with OpenRoads software
• Proficient and demonstrated applied experience with CAD civil engineering software such as Autodesk Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., HydroCAD, Autodesk Hydraflow Extensions, etc.) as required
• Local candidates are preferred
• *LI-SM1

Required Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Good verbal and written communication skills
