Job summary

HUSSEY GAY BELL in the United States seeks a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of site design experience to lead land development projects and coordinate with owners and other disciplines.

The candidate should have a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) and a GA PE license or ability to obtain immediately; proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and water/stormwater modeling is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• GA PE license or ability to obtain immediately.
• 4+ years of civil site design experience on land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to create land plans and conceptual layouts.
• Design land development projects including site layout, grading, utilities and erosion control.
• Prepare all necessary calculations and technical reports/models.
• Coordinate projects with Owner/Client and other disciplines as necessary.
• Identify and obtain regulatory permits for local, state, and federal regulations.
• Produce project plans and specifications and manage project schedule.
• Attend public and client meetings and act as primary liaison.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

Job description

Core Position Responsibilities:

• Apply engineering principles to create land plans and conceptual layouts
• Design land development projects to include site layout, grading, utilities and erosion control
• Prepare all necessary calculations
• Prepare technical reports and models
• Coordinate projects with Owner/Client and other disciplines as necessary to produce the project
• Identify and apply for all regulatory permits for local, state, and federal regulations and construction requirements
• Produce project plans and specifications
• Manage and communicate project schedule to achieve project milestones and deliverables
• Attend public and client meetings
• Serve as primary point of contact and project liaison to assist with the resolution of construction issues and conduct site observations
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and other appropriate employees
• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• PE license in GA or ability to obtain immediately
• 4 or more years of experience in civil site design of land development projects such as residential subdivisions, multi-family developments, commercial/retail, industrial, institutional and municipal
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
• Knowledge of water and stormwater modeling
