A leading architecture and engineering firm in Raleigh is seeking a skilled Site Civil Designer or Civil Engineer to join their Land Development team. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 5–7 years of experience in land development. The role involves preparing site design plans, completing stormwater management designs, and coordinating with project managers. Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in land development within a consulting firm.
• Experience working on private or public land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site civil design plans including site layout, grading, drainage, water and sanitary sewer.
• Complete Stormwater Management Designs.
• Develop construction documents, reports, and technical calculations.
• Assist with permitting processes at local and state levels.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support design efforts for commercial, residential, and mixed-use development projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Strong understanding of grading

Strong understanding of drainage

Excellent communication skills

Teamwork skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

EIT certification

PE license or ability to obtain within 12-18 months
