Job summary

HDR is seeking a Site / Civil Designer / EIT in New York to support the design and documentation of site layouts, grading, utilities, and drainage. You will assist senior engineers and independently handle specific design tasks within defined objectives.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, with familiarity in Civil3D and local candidate preference. HDR values an employee-owned culture and collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate required; without EIT, title will be Site Civil Designer and EIT must be obtained for progression.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation.
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage design.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on design tasks or assist senior engineers on larger projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
