Job summary

HDR is seeking a Site Civil BIM/3D Designer in Minnesota to model civil infrastructure and produce discipline-specific drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, and related tools. You will work under an engineer, maintaining the discipline model and coordinating with other teams to meet project requirements.

The role requires a technical degree or 3 years of related experience, strong 3D design software skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 3 years related industry experience.
• Proficient with 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Competent with Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
• Experience with 3D coordination tools.

• Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

• Work for a specific discipline, under the direct supervision of an Engineer or other technical professional.
• Be responsible for the discipline model and generate BIM elements per the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.
• Create and maintain the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital output for that discipline.
• Coordinate with architect/engineer for guidance while being technically competent in the discipline and software used.
• Accurately model BIM elements in the current 3D software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams within project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain the discipline model with project info, coordinates, scales, orientations, and views.
• Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.
• Monitor, improve, and maintain company standards and model health.
• Coordinate design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and 3D coordination processes.
• Assist or execute additional Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, and other civil engineering software as appropriate.
