Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. seeks an Assistant Project Manager to partner with the Project Manager, ensuring timely, quality project delivery. You may lead a large project segment and mentor engineers and interns, sharpening your managerial and communication skills.

This is a full-time, site-based role requiring extensive travel across the Central Region. Substantial experience in CPM scheduling, cost control, subcontracting, and on-site safety programs will help you succeed; travel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' construction experience on relevant projects.
Geographically mobile and able to relocate within a region.
Demonstrated track record of jobsite safety excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager in establishing the project chart of accounts, CPM schedule, subcontracts and purchase orders.
Provide administrative support to the Project Superintendent and leadership and training to project staff and engineers.
Track Change Proposal Requests and Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications and claims as applicable.
Monitor job costs, prepare quantity reports, and analyze labor costs for quarterly profit records.
Lead on-site Total Quality Management processes and safety programs.
Manage project closeout documentation and procedures.
Ensure adherence to safety and EEO/Affirmative Action programs.
