Job summary

York Space Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and automate SIT software features and tests for spacecraft flight and ground systems in Greenwood Village, CO. The role interfaces with flight software, ground software, vehicle test, and mission operations to ensure reliable system deployment and operation.

The ideal candidate has aerospace or software background with proficiency in C++/Python, Linux, and experience in Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or greater in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficient in C++ or Python and Git; experience with Agile practices.
• Experience in a Linux environment and bash scripting.
• Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Full stack development experience and API usage.

Responsibilities

• Develop features and bug fixes for SIT products with guidance from leadership and senior engineers.
• Develop automated tests for multiple systems such as flight and ground software.
• Translate high-level designs and requirements into high-quality code.
• Provide direction to junior engineers on feature development.
• Collaborate with other departments to support SIT product usage.
• Support test-driven development for spacecraft flight software and ground software.
