Sit-Down Forklift Operator – Kansas City, MO

Located in Kansas City, MO, Batliner Paper Stock is seeking a Forklift Operator.

General Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating industrial trucks to load and unload materials, and to move them to and from loading docks into railroad cars and trailers.

Responsibilities / Duties

• Operate equipment safely using controls and levers
• Load and unload materials following set procedures
• Enter and exit equipment frequently
• Lift/move up to 50 pounds, and bend, stoop, stand, and climb as needed
• Move materials efficiently between designated areas
• Identify paper and plastic grades
• Work in all weather conditions
• Follow safety policies and employee handbook guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
• Utilize forklift and floor scale
• Perform pre- and post-vehicle inspections

Required Skills / Abilities
