Job summary

Schnellecke Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator – Sit-Down to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and dock areas. This role emphasizes safe operation and efficient handling of goods to support daily logistics operations.

You will perform pre-shift inspections, operate RF scanners or manual systems, and ensure proper staging and storage while adhering to safety standards, procedures, and company policies.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience operating sit-down forklifts.
• Ability to obtain powered industrial equipment certification.
• Strong warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Experience using RF scanners and WMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials between dock, staging, and storage areas.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Load and unload trailers while maintaining product integrity and proper weight distribution.
• Accurately scan and track inventory movements using RF scanners or manual systems.
• Ensure materials are properly staged and stored according to operational requirements.
• Follow all safety standards, operating procedures, and company policies.
