Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Sellersburg, IN is seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator for a manufacturing facility. This temp-to-hire position offers three shifts with pay from $16.50 to $17.25 per hour, and a pathway to long-term employment.

You will operate propane-powered sit-down forklifts, use scanners to track inventory, maintain FIFO, and keep work areas organized. You must have 1–2 years forklift experience, a certification is a plus, and be able to read and write

Responsibilities

• Operate propane-powered sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and store materials.
• Use scanners, tablets, and computer systems to track inventory and material movements.
• Maintain accurate inventory and follow FIFO procedures.
• Organize materials, containers, and storage areas safely.
• Inspect equipment before use and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with inventory counts, material organization, recycling, and housekeeping.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.

CHOOSE YOUR SHIFT!*

• A SHIFT – $16.50/hr: Monday–Thursday | 6 AM–6 PM

• B SHIFT – $17.00/hr: Tuesday–Friday | 6 PM–6 AM

• C SHIFT – $17.25/hr: Friday & Saturday, 6 AM–6 PM; Sunday & Monday, 6 PM–6 AM

*Shifts available according to client needs.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1- 2 years of sit-down forklift experience; recent experience preferred.

• Current forklift certification a plus.

• Ability to read and write English.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• Automotive or manufacturing experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to sit, stand, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
