Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Sit Down Forklift Operator in Memphis, TN for a direct hire. The 1st shift runs 6:00 AM–4:30 PM on a 4-day work week. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $23.00 per hour, based on experience.

The role involves transporting materials and supporting inventory movement to keep warehouse operations efficient. Education: high school diploma or GED preferred; prior warehouse or PIT training is beneficial.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sit down propane forklift operator experience.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.

• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Sit Down Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
