Job summary

Advanced IT Concepts, LLC is seeking a Simulator Technician II for a fixed-term assignment at Wheeler AAF, HI. You will support multiple aviation devices under the WTRS contract, performing repairs and maintenance and assisting system operators.

Required qualifications include a engineering/IT degree or equivalent experience, DoD clearance eligibility, and strong troubleshooting skills. This role may involve travel to other installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering/Science/IT with 2 years experience, or Master’s with 1 year, or 6+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• Intermediate computer and networking skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
• Must obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electronic WTRS equipment for BAT, TFPS, LCT, UMS.
• Research and select necessary repair parts.
• Enter work order data accurately into the online management information system.
• Perform preventative maintenance per technical guidelines.
• Provide technical support and training to system operators.
• Travel to other installations and WTRS locations as required.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Simulator Technician II provides technical support to multiple devices under the Warfighter Training & Readiness Solutions (WTRS) Contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• The Simulator Technician II position will perform all functions required to Maintain and repair electronic WTRS and equipment for position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic equipment for UH-60M Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT), CH-47F Transportable Flight Proficiency Simulator (TFPS), AH-64D Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT), Universal Mission Simulator (UMS)
• Research and select necessary repair parts.
• Enter work order data accurately and timely into the online management information system.
• Utilize spare/repair parts to address faults and perform preventative maintenance in accordance with technical guidelines.
• Research and select necessary repair parts.

• Apply technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting manufacturers' manuals and schematic drawings.
• Perform inventory of spare/repair parts in accordance with contractual guidelines.
• Ensure all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide technical support and training to system operators.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS Locations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology and 1 years of experience, Or 6+ Years of Experience in lieu of Degree
• Intermediate computer and networking skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges
• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Position requires the ability to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Stand for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.

• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
• May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
• Experience utilizing test equipment to include: torque wrenches, volt/micrometers, network cable crimping/testers and solder stations to support repairs
